New Orleans, Warsaw, Dresden, Berlin ….

As still a life long resident of New Orleans, I recognize the importance for a city to have an intact, historical core. What I saw done in Warsaw and other Polish cities is remarkable. After visiting Berlin and Dresden, I am pleased by the move of many Germans to reclaim their city cores. New Orleans without a French Quarter would be just another urban disaster like Houston, Dallas, or Atlanta – but on a smaller scale.
