THE
FOERDERVEREIN BERLINER SCHLOSS e. V.
was founded in 1992 under the name “Foerderverein for the exhibition: “The Significance of the Berlin City Palace for the Center of Berlin – a Documentary” e.V.”
It is recognized as a charitable organization under theTax Number 665/51961 and is authorized to give out tax deductibility certificates upon receipt of donations. [German non-citizens should consult their own tax advisors.]
It received its present name in 2003 in accordance with the decision of the members at their annual meeting.
Since the decision of the German Bundestag taken in 2002 and 2003 to rebuild the outer facades of the Palace, the main emphasis of donation collection has been to acquire money for the reconstruction of the palace facades.
With the appointment of Wilhelm v. Boddien to the post of business manager at the annual members meeting of Febrary 23, 2004, he resigned from the Board in accordance with By-Laws in March 2004.
In October of 2004, the previous Board Chairman, Rupert Stuhlemmer, resigned. At the subsequent members meeting on November 22nd, the following persons were elected to the Board:

3. Hubertus v. Dallwitz, Berlin, Second Vice Chairman

5. Prof. Dr. Peter Georg Ahrens (City Planner in residence, Berlin) Board member
6. Dipl. Ing. Klaus Hermann ((Ltd. Architect in residence, Berlin) Secretary — (resigned in May of 2005 for reasons of age)
