Palace and Museum Island: An Oasis of Peace and Culture in the bubbling Center of Berlin

The Museum Island and the Palace must, via the Pleasure Garden, grow together as a single cultural entity. As in former times, a homogeneous ensemble will arise with the Pleasure Garden leading to the Palace.
Palace and Pleasure Garden will again be a single entity as they were until the beginning of the 20th century. An oasis of peace and culture in the center of bubbling Berlin.

For this reason traffic must be removed from the Pleasure Garden and detoured around the Palace over the Schlossfreiheit , the Palace Square, the  City Hall Street and the  Spandau Street  to Liebknecht Street.

For drivers this is a detour of 300 meters, but for Berlin it means gaining a cultural oasis in the center of the seething traffic comparable to the situation of the Louvre and the Tuilerie Gardens in Paris.

We have before us a study of this subject in the form of a diploma theses. According to it, the proposed change in the traffic pattern ought not to lead to any increased technical traffic problems.
